and I'm not talking about the show. Got mine cut yesterday because it was starting to thin. I am now sporting a Jamie Lee Curtis look. Wish I had the rest of her for the total look.
When I woke up this morning my little hairs (about 1" long) had gotten rearranged and there was my first BALD spot. I have been thinking bald would be an fun and challenging time to tring to still look good with hats and wigs, but my stomach really dropped when I saw that. I tried knitting a hat but it looks like a pancake, breakfast anyone? I bought a few new scarves to add to my mega collection and I got a new fleece hat that I am going to sew a giant flower onto, like Alice in her red hat (only I won't cry). I also went on line and learned how to tie African head wraps and did some practicing.
My wonderful friend Sally said no one had told her how sensitive the scalp is with no hair. The sun, wind, rain (snow?) felt wonderful. Yet another way to experience the weather. I don't want a wig unless it is wild. This isn't something I want to pretend isn't happening, I want to play with it.
But there is something about that first bald spot that caught me way off guard....
