Class, day 1

Day one, blank 48x36" canvas

End of painting day one.

OK, Here I go on my new art class. First of all, I feel like a newbe having not worked in oils in over 45 years. There are only two of us in the class which gives us a semi-private experience. Jeannie has taken 4 other classes with Jordan.

The class concept is really interesting. Day one, we have our blank canvas and no directions but play, hummmm. Experiment with the paints, medium, brushes, etc. There were no real directions other than we will be doing an abstract painting. We will be using the same canvas for the entire class - working, reworking, loving, hating, painting over... I guess there will be some new direction each week but the basics stay the same - push and don't fall in love with it 'cause there might be something better coming along.

I will be posting the whole process both days at home and in class. The challenge today has been always working wet in wet - this paint does not dry!
