What to Do

I have a new guideline for now and hopefully for my future because it makes so much sense.

"Does it inspire me or tire me."

Being the type of person who is agreeable and always wanting to please, I have a tendency to go along with things whether I really want to or not. Well, the energy level isn't good and I am anticipating it getting considerably lower in the future so it is really necessary for me to pace myself. The question came up this week about going to book group. Do I have the energy to go out at night and last a few hours? Well, I came home from radiation and took a great nap and DID have the energy and am really glad I did.

I miss my friends. They are all off skiing and snowshoeing all winter long. I have had visits from a few but it was so great to get together with the whole group, share a wonderful meal and discuss the book and life in Ned.

Barb was out on the road with a flash light trying to find me and get me to Irene's house which was so warm and welcoming. I had a picture of Alice and Christy had ultrasounds of her first grandson. Louise always has news about the library, Andrea came in from her show shoe race invigorated but a bit disappointed that she lost by 5 seconds. Molly and I talked about the bike trip we are going to do together when this is over and I am back to normal. Tammy, Irene and Andrea discussing the problems with children coming to school high on second hand marijuana smoke from their parents. Was it a good idea to legalize it? Effects that weren't anticipated.

That evening was well worth the inspiration even if I was tired at the end!
