Last night Carrie asked if I wanted to join her and her friends on a morning skin. Sure I said. Little did I know it meant getting up at 5 A.M. Skinning, for those who aren't familiar, means you put a strip of imitation seal skin (fabric) with the nap going in the towards the tail of the ski so you have some grip climbing up hill and then you remove the skin and ski down. Well you can see there wasn't any sun when we started out - and it was COLD.
Myra and Carrie as we started out.
Moon shine and still chair lifts.
Action shot with Carrie and the snow cats finishing up their work.
Felt like we were dodging them a lot.
It was about here we saw a red fox run across the trail.
Sun is coming,
but the moon hasn't left.
Looking west,
and east,
and north west.
Breckenridge is still looking sleepy.
