Kid Therapy

OK, this is an old picture but it doesn't mean they are acting anymore grown up.

We are spending the weekend with J, Carrie, Ty and Carson along with a visit with Tucker last night. It has been a very long time since I have been here and it is fun to watch them doing their thing. Ty and Jaju are off skiing for the day and Carson just wants to make masks. This kid is so creative and intense when he gets going on a project. He's probably make 10-15 plaster masks in the past few months.

Alice is now officially late but I know I will get to see her when I'm back east. These kids are going to be my main focus getting through the treatments. They are life and the future. I have to stick around and be healthy to follow their stories and continue to go on adventures with them.

Met with the Denver doctor Thursday. He was very thorough and spent an hour and a half with us. Basically he agrees with the treatment plan my Boulder doctor recommended. He said he could go either way with the radiation so I have decided to bring out the big guns and get it all at once. The docs think I'm healthy and strong enough to handle it and it gives better results than sequentially. I also agreed to genetic testing. There are 10 identified aberrant lung cancer genes and drugs that work against two of them. We figured if we get the test done now while we have a nice fresh tumor to use and we will have that information for the future if we need it. The research is moving in that direction fast but not fast enough for now.
