Merry, merry, merry!!!!!

A very merry to all.

As a Christmas gift to myself, I think I will go out for a little snow shoe. I don't think I will be able to go very far but I know after tomorrow it is going to be a while before I will be able to get out to enjoy our beautiful winter. I am so glad I feel like I can do a little something physical before I get trashed again.

The out pouring of support encouragement and prayers from my wonder family and friends has been overwhelming. It has been interesting to listen to everyone's feedback. Some folks are far more worried than I am (who has the answer here?). Others are anxious to resume the fun we have had together.

It has really helped me clarify further, who I am and what I need. I know I need people. Bedside manner is WAY important to me. Good training and skills are up there but not at the top of my list. I need people who listen well and they don't make me feel like I am keeping them from something more important. I like to know my medical people are people with lives and love it when they give me a glimpse of who they are and what they love. I guess I am really about relationships. I have also learned (again) what a wonderful husband I have. Mick has been fantastic the past 5 weeks and we are about to begin another round of him being "nurse Jane fuzzy wuzzy".

I am realizing I am a pretty positive person and am good at pretending. After all, I am my sister's daughter. I don't always see how serious things might be (a 3-7 day stay in the hospital did make me say "Oh, that's serious") but I really don't dwell on that stuff but more about getting rid of this little monster and getting on with life. So far it is really working for me.

By the way, the painting I am using on my blog now has just been accepted in a big water media show. There was some great news this week, also.
