Mac Hamburger

Finally - the last blog from our trip. Having a hard time remembering what this part was like, not hard like I have forgotten but hard in "this sucks".

Is that a burger your eating? Do you know how and where it grew up? We went through Dodge City and Garden City, Kansas on our way home - Mick's request. If I didn't  love our beef and know where they grew up and where they were "processed" (read that slaughtered) I probably would become a veggie again. Here are some shots from the moving car. Too bad we don't have smell-o-vision because they REALLY stink.

That black line on the horizon is cattle in small pens aka feed lots.

Zoomed in

Eating their corn, chemicals and antibiotics. Any wonder why the drugs? They were never intended to eat corn.

Transfer station and "kitchen" for preparing the feed.
This is a "processing plant". Our cows only go 10 a day - these places slaughter thousands a day - truck after truck.

I think this is a grain supplier.
