Poor O had an aborted walk on Tuesday because I saw the elk right off Twin Sister's road and had to run home to get the camera before I went to a meeting.
They did something very interesting. Over half of them ran down the hill and back up again - twice. Looked like they were doing laps! I am wondering if the pregnant females were higher on the hill and they were trying to distract me from them.

The were as curious about me as I was about them. They actually allowed me to get quite close.
Here is a half spike. A spike is an adolescent male because their rack is only one finger. This fellow only has one spike now. Carrie and I were watching a couple sparing on Sunday and I wonder if he lost it playing around.
The blend so well with the surroundings.
Are the ones on the left pregnant females?
