While packing yesterday, I noticed how lovely my new shoes are with one of my favorite pieces of pottery.
Poor O hasn't been feeling too well lately. He (me, too) was up the night before last four times to go out with diarrhea. He didn't eat much of the chicken and rice I made for him and hasn't been drinking his usual amount of water but we still went on a walk today. He was a little slow but I think glad to be out.
I brought a few Mariposa Lilies home to see if they can be picked. They are in the meadows now and are so pretty, especially up close.
These pictures are reruns but I just got some info on one of my favorite flowers from Claire's blog (thanks Claire, you are always educating me). This is the Green Gentian and they live for 20-80 years before they flower for one season and then they die. Early in the spring I had their leaf on my blog being curious about what they will become. Some have shot up and some are still leaves and now I know why.
The flower stalk is about 2 1/2 to 3 feet tall and the flowers are nickle to quarter size. Very spectacular in a subtle sorta way.
