James Peak Hike

Today I took Mick to the Moffit Tunnel for a hike. We considered the road which followed the old railroad bed over the pass but decided on a trail. There were lots of people walking but they weren't on four wheelers or dirt bikes like the road had. It was a good like but we both felt we reached our limit after 2 1/2 hours in our five fingers on a moderately challenging trail.

There were areas that had no bridge so we had to ford the raters - boy did that feel good on our feet coming out, especially. Five fingers are great water shoes. We should have gotten a bonus from Vibram for all the sales pitches we had to do during the hike!

Snow melt is still coming down from the summits.

O really loves a drink of wild water.

We didn't make it to the lakes at the top
but we did do quite a bit of vertical.

My tired man thinking about having to go back east!
