The joys of home owning aren't always good for smiles - like finding lentils (from the garbage disposal) on the basement floor because the drain blocked up.
I guess I could have found much worse things on the floor.

Those are wet towels on the floor not a soggy dog.
One of the true joys of this story is that, shortly after I found the water, Dave Taylor (he plows the driveway) came to clear an area for the POD to be stored. I asked him if he knew a good plumber. He hops out of his truck to check the situation and spent over half an hour being a plumber. We didn't fix it then and so I went to town to get some Liquid Plumber (and ride the carousel). We thought it was all good and Jay and I put everything back in the morning only to discover (after doing the breakfast dishes) it was still clogged. At that point, I decided to wait till Monday to find someone to call.
Early afternoon, there was a loud knock on the door and Dave stopped (I was just going by and happen to have a snake in my truck today) by to see if it was fixed! We went down to work on it again (me in my party clothes). He got the snake in about 5 feet and it was still very clogged so he called his buddy the plumber but he avoids clogged drains (must be a clean plumber). He gave Dave the name of another "good guy" who I will call tomorrow. Sorry, but I have never had an experience like that in the east.
Oh, by the way, after he finished the POD area on Saturday, Dave asked me if I "would mind" if he made a couple passes on the driveway with his grader (it got very washed out on the 4th) on his way out. After more than "a couple passes" I now have a great driveway and no fear of going into the gully at the bottom if I don't aim right.
WHAT A GUY
Thanks for everything Dave!
