Our Town

Today after my shift at the Community Center, Orion took a walk down to the Barker Reservoir before we went to the Co-op. We then walked up the hill to get the car.
I'm glad they have put in a switch back walkway so we didn't have to scramble down and up the steep hill.

The reservoir looking east towards Boulder and this is Boulder water. It gets down there via an aqueduct which runs behind our house. You can walk on a trail above it but that is the area the lions like to be so I haven't done it yet. I have a friend who won't do it alone and another who carries all sorts of protection when she walks it. Maybe I'll do it with my big, strong, brave husband.

Look at all those ducks. They're probably peeing in Boulder water!

The water level is quite high as you can see with half this poor bush under water.
High water is a good thing this time of the year.

O having a taste of what we call "wild water". It was a hot day.

The Boulder Creek coming down from the mountains to fill the reservoir.

Beautiful downtown Ned. That is two bars with a medicinal marijuna shop between! Not the usual number if Subarus - must be tourists in town.
